The spray nozzle travels up and down while spraying side to side, which mimics airbrush motion and creates an even, natural-looking tan. When the session is finished, there is no need to rub the solution into your skin. Your skin is almost dry, and you may dress immediately.
MagneTan is a patented process that uses the body’s natural magnetic properties to attract the tanning solution to every exposed surface of the skin. When the tanning mist passes through the spray nozzle in a Mystic Tan booth, the micro-mist particles are polarized, taking on the characteristics of “tiny magnets.” These particles are attracted evenly to the skin to create a smooth, natural-looking tan. 15 million tans can’t be wrong!

The active ingredient in all sunless products is Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA is a cosmetic substance that bronzes the skin to resemble a natural tan. It is a non-toxic sugar, approved since the1970s and is often extracted from sugar beets or sugar cane. DHA reacts chemically with the amino acids, which are part of the protein containing keratin layer on the skin surface.
Yes. Its non-toxic formula and the fact that it goes no deeper than the very outer layer of skin makes it ideal for young people, pregnant women or people with sensitive skin. (In rare instances, people whose skin is highly allergic to numerous products may develop a rash after a spray tan session. It usually subsides within a day.)
To ensure the best spray tan results, be sure to shower, shave and exfoliate before coming in. Do not apply moisturizer, deodorant or makeup. Since many exfoliators contain oils or moisturizers that may result in an uneven tan, we strongly urge customers to use only compatible Mystic Tan products. Otherwise, your tan may not be as even or the color may not be as dark as when using Mystic Tan products.
Wear loose-fitting clothing. If you chose a Mystic solution that contains a bronzer, it is best that you wear dark-colored clothing if you are not going straight home. The bronzer is only temporary color (not part of the sunless tanning solution) and will rub off on clothing. However, it is water-soluble and will wash out when clothing is laundered.
